Ocean Princess to join Oceania fleet

Princess Cruises have agreed to sell one of their smaller ships, Ocean Princess, to Oceania Cruise Lines. The transfer will take place in March 2016 when the 15 year old vessel will go into dry dock where it will receive $40 million worth of upgrades. It will be renamed Sirena and be ready to sail for Oceania for the summer 2016 season.

New production shows available on Silversea

There are seven new shows coming to entertain passengers on board Silversea cruises across all five ships. Live acts will perform with accompaniment from tracks exclusively recorded for these shows by a range of acclaimed artists including the London Philharmonic Orchestra.  The new entertainment offerings made their debut at a special preview show on board the Silver Cloud when it sailed from Rome to Funchal.

RCCL moves into the Chinese Cruise Market

Royal Caribbean Cruises Limited has announced plans to being a Chinese Cruise Line named SkySea Cruises. This will be a joint venture with leading Shanghai-based travel agency International Ltd. The line could begin operations as early as 2015 with a single ship, although the venture has potential to expand should it prove successful.
