Caribbean vs California cruising?

California Beach Sunset

As one of our most popular cruise holidays with miles and miles of fabulous coastline a California cruise offers the perfect mix of inviting beaches, soaring cliffs, fascinating cities and exciting attractions.

There are two distinctive cruising seasons, Spring and Autumn both offering art, history,  wine and of course endless sunshine. If you are a “wine lover” Autumn is the season for you, with lots of local wine country festivals and tasting at the many world-renowned wineries

Our favourite ports of call:

San Francisco

Golden Gate BridgeSan Francisco is romantic and cosmopolitan with a colourful history, world-class shopping,  superb restaurants and iconic landmarks. Reached by a short ferry ride, near Fisherman’s Wharf, Alcatraz is the most popular attraction and a photographers dream. And, then of course there’s The Golden Gate Bridge, one of the seven wonders of the world. A very walk-able city, San Francisco makes the perfect port of call. It’s easy to see why this scenic city is affectionately named “Everyone’s Favourite City”

Los Angeles

LA HollywoodThe City of Angels is best known for its celebrity and sunshine lifestyle with most of the world’s movies and television created in LA. Take a behind the scenes tour at Universal or Paramount, see the incredible Walk of Fame on Hollywood Boulevard and tour the Dolby Theatre which hosts the Academy Awards.  With so many rich and famous it’s no surprise that LA is home to some of the best shopping in the world, ranging from the famous Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, Melrose Place in Hollywood and The LA Fashion District, LA is a fashion paradise. And, if you’re looking to top up your tan, there are over 24 beaches to explore including the legendary Venice Beach.

Santa Barbara

California BeachNamed locally as the American Riviera, Santa Barbara is a delightful city where food, wine, art and history mix perfectly with the warm climate. This beautiful city has a cross-cultural feel with Spanish and Moorish style architecture, palm-lined beaches and charming cafes making the perfect seaside setting. Must sees’ include; The Old Mission a popular attraction in the area, traced back to the early 1700s. And, Santa Ynez Valley, home to numerous wineries and lush valleys.

With so many incredible places to visit in America, our California Coast Cruise offers the perfect way to experience multiple fascinating destinations in one holiday !
