It’s a new year and that means that there’s a whole new world of cruise itineraries available, more news of upgrades to ships and announcements of innovative new features.
Carnival Miracle to get Fun Ship 2.0 upgrades
Carnival Miracle is set to enter dry dock for two weeks in spring 2015 to receive Carnival's Fun Ship 2.0 upgrades. The new innovations will include the addition of new bars including the RedFrog Pub which will serve a range of Caribbean Rums and beers; the Alchemy Bar which offers a range of creative cocktails created by master mixologists; and a new Sports Bar to screen live events. For children, the world of Dr. Seuss arrives on board to entertain throughout the day from Green Eggs and Ham Breakfasts to the Seuss-a-Palooza Story Time at night. There will also be a new entertainment offering on board with four shows from Playlist Productions.
P&O’s Aurora returns from her refurbishment
Aurora has returned from a 20 day spell in dry dock with a brand new look, new venues and refreshed cabins. The ship is now adorned with the Union Flag on the bow of the ship reflecting P&O’s British heritage. New dining venues on board include Atul Kochhar’s Sindhu where guests can savour the flavours of India and The Glass House where diners can enjoy vintage Wine by the glass. The Reef children’s club area has now been remodelled with new equipment added to keep the young ones entertained.
New features announced for Norwegian Escape
Norwegian Escape makes its debut in 2015 as the largest ship in the Norwegian Cruise Line’s fleet. With less than a year until it's is launched, a number innovative relaxation features have been unveiled by the cruise giant. The Mandara Spa will feature the largest Thermal Suite on the seven seas as well as the line’s first Snow Room. This rejuvenating space will remain below 0°C and provide passengers with flurries of snow to improve circulation and strengthen the immune system.
Stars announced for Strictly Come Dancing Cruises 2015
Strictly Come Dancing remains one of the most popular entertainment shows on UK television and P&O are capitalising on this with a series of theme cruises featuring the stars of the show. There will be four cruises in all with the first on board the Aurora departing on the 23 April 2015. Each cruise will last 14 nights and feature Strictly stars including Craig Revel Horwood, Artem Chigvintsev and Kristina Rihanoff.
