What's Trending in 2015?

It’s 2015, and that means a brand new year and with a new year comes new things.

At CruiseKings, we like to keep on top of all the top trends and in this blog post we will be looking at things that will be big hitters in 2015. We will give you ideas of what to have on your cruising itineraries, and what you should know about the cruising world this year!

All Inclusive Cruising

What better way to start off a blog post about what’s trending than with a piece about All Inclusive cruising. 2015 is the year of all inclusive cruising with many of the top cruise line campaigns offering free drinks packages and gratuities.

All inclusive cruises have been rising since holiday-goes are becoming more bargain and deal savvy. Also, if you have paid for everything and have none of these as an extra cost, it frees up the rest of your holiday budget for extras and excursions.

You can relax and enjoy your time in the restaurant and order whatever dish you want, try new things you normally wouldn’t and then you can accompany the fine food with a range of free wines, beers and spirits.

The night doesn’t finish after your meal, oh no, there’s plenty of entertainment included on board from lavish Broadway productions, films in the cinema or if you want to splash a little extra cash, play some games of chance in the casino. Finish the evening with dancing and cocktails in one of the bars or lounges.

So by now you might be highly considering an all inclusive cruise, well, why don’t you, you can find out more about the all inclusive holidays that we offer here.

It’s not just Royal Caribbean who have appealing new ships on the horizon, P&O have their most recent addition to their fleet, Britannia, hitting shores in February 2015.

There is a lot to be excited about on the Britannia because there is just so much choice onboard, some might even say too much! Not us though.

There are 13 bars on the ship as well as 13 different dining venues to eat on board Britannia, which some might say is unlucky but, again, not us.

This gives guests opportunity to experience new flavour sensations every night of the week or to return to their favourite restaurant.

The classic P&O restaurants are in place including the Peninsular and Meridian along with new premium eateries and tempting self-service options.

Prestigious chefs including Eric Lanlard, Marco Pierre White and Atul Kochhar have been involved in the creation of menus, providing guests with a reassurance of quality.

There are plenty of places to keep active on board with classes available at the Arena where guests can play cricket, football and short tennis. With four pools on deck, there’s space for everyone to swim.

The main pool is perfect for families while teenagers have their own dedicated sundeck with pool included.

And for entertainment later in the day, there is a theatre on board the Britannia which seats 936 guests and has an LED backdrop, providing a spectacular background high production value shows.

The inaugural voyage in February will be a trip around the highlights of the British Isles and the rest of her Maiden Season includes trips to the Norwegian Fjords, the Canary Islands and the Baltic Sea.
