Ship Review: Celebrity Eclipse

Solstice Class Aerial View Lawn Club

Having sailed on Celebrity Eclipse in May, it is no surprise that this star among the Celebrity fleet was the winner of "Best from the UK” award at the recent 2015 Cruiser’s Choice Awards.

Celebrity Eclipse is a sophisticated and elegant ship with a very relaxed and laidback atmosphere on board. Recently revitalised with a range of new features, bars and experiences, Eclipse offers all those little touches that make a cruise all the more special – it really is Modern Luxury.

Celebrity Aqua Class StateroomAqua Class

We experienced Aqua Class for the first time and we loved it! Our Aqua Class stateroom with balcony was perfect but it was the “little extra” touches that really enhanced our holiday.

One of the first benefits was the priority boarding, it was hassle free and within 15 minutes we were in our stateroom with a glass of champagne in hand.

Solstice Class Blu Restaurant

Our stateroom was beautiful and had lots of in–room extras like luxury toiletries, plush bathrobes and a pillow menu. As an Aqua Class guest you also have free and unlimited access to the Persian Garden where you can relax on heated loungers with stunning sea views and enjoy a sauna or steam room – this was absolute bliss!

We also had access to the Aqua Class private restaurant Blu which offers delicious and healthy cuisine. This was great as we could enjoy Blu, a more intimate restaurant or we could book into the main dining or one of the speciality restaurants if we fancied a change.  We thoroughly recommend Aqua Class, you don’t have to be “health conscious” to enjoy all the amazing benefits – ask our Cruise Experts for more details.

Extraordinary food

Celebrity Qsine Sushi Lollipops

Aside from the exciting places you visit, a cruise is all about the experiences you have on board and of course “food” plays a big part of this. We have experienced loads of lovely restaurants at sea, but what made Celebrity stand out for us was the extraordinary variety and ways in which to enjoy the cuisine.

We ate in 2 speciality restaurants Qsine and Tuscan Grille and they were sensational. Qsine was our favourite, it was great fun and we tried wonderful and innovative creations from around the world  like Sushi lollypops, the Taj Mahal and a Slider Party – we were in food heaven and the service and atmosphere was amazing.

Don’t miss these restaurants – the food really is delicious!

More Modern Luxury

Of course, there are many more wonderful reasons to choose a Celebrity Cruise and many more “extra special” touches to enjoy!
