Qsine - Dining on board Celebrity Cruises

Celebrity Cruises take great care in their food, and this comes across in their revolutionary dining experience - Qsine.

The slogan that Celebrity use to describe it is “Qsine. Awaken your inner foodie on a culinary journey.” And they are definitely not wrong, and as you can see in the image below, they do cater with some “unordinary” and “unique” food that you won’t see anywhere else at sea.

Qsine Sushi

These are sushi lollipops...yes, LOLLIPOPS!

When you arrive at Qsine, you will be shown to your table and “culinary tour guide” (waiter) will come and take you on your culinary journey.

Qsine operates on a tapas basis, and cater to many different cultures and tastes with 20 different dishes to choose from, but we’ll get to that in a minute.

First of all, when you arrive at your table, you will be greeted with an iPad that is your personal menu, this makes your meal a lot more interactive. You are given three options; Cocktails, wines and dinner.

The wine menu is quite self explanatory, but it is the cocktail menu that really stands out before you've ordered any food. Once in the cocktails menu, you are given a selection of cocktails by their picture.

Once you have selected your cocktail, there is a cool feature that lets you learn how to make the cocktail interactively through an almost game-like step by step lesson.

Once all your drinks have been ordered, then it is time to move on to figuring out what you would like to have for dinner, and as we said before there are 20 different options that all come with their own individual twist on traditional tapas menus.

The food is “wacky and different”, and from what we hear, no matter what you order, you will never finish it all because the selection is so eclectic and large.

We've picked two out of the 20 because we would be writing an entire recipe book if we included them all;

  • M’s favourites: 12 different Mediterranean dishes that are organised into a briefcase full of 12 compartmental shelves.

    • Imam Bayildi (Eggplant Vegetarian Stew)

    • Patlican Salad (vegetable salad, feta cheese, lemon-garlic dressing)

    • Goat's cheese cigars

    • Tabbouleh

    • Tzatziki

    • Kibbeh

    • Mediterranean chilli (Beef, lamb, vegetables and garlic aioli)

    • Lamb Chops

  • Taj Mahal:  6 different Indian dishes, with complementary ones on the side.

    • Shrimp vindaloo

    • Tikka Masala

    • Chole

    • Lamb Rogan Josh

    • Palak Paneer

    • Popadoms

    • Veggie Samosas

    • Mango Chutney

Bear in mind that each of these is one choice, granted it does come in tapas format, but it is still a lot of food, so the recommended thing to do is order one dish each and share between the tastes.

Once dinner is finished, even if you feel like you can’t eat another bite, you will want to try something from their coveted dessert menu, which comes to you in the form of a Rubic’s cube (don’t worry, it’s easily solved).

Once you have solved the (not puzzling) puzzle, you will see that they have a great assortment of desserts including Chocolate Tombstone, making your own cupcake and many more!

Qsine is available on Celebrity Eclipse, Celebrity Infinity, Celebrity Silhouette, Celebrity Summit, Celebrity Millennium and Celebrity Reflection.
