Day 1 - Singapore

Arrive: Fri 17 November 2017 / Depart: Fri 17 November 2017 at 18:00

Singapore is a roughly diamond-shaped island at the end of the Malaysian peninsula. It occupies a strategic position for shipping on the shortest sea-route between the Indian Ocean and the South China Sea. The narrow Strait of Johor separates Singapore from Malaysia, but the two are linked by a causeway less than a mile long.

Day 2 - At Sea

Day 3 - Jakarta

Arrive: Sun 19 November 2017 at 08:00 / Depart: Sun 19 November 2017 at 14:30

Day 4 - Semarang

Arrive: Mon 20 November 2017 at 08:00 / Depart: Mon 20 November 2017 at 18:00

Semarang is one of the oldest cities in Indonesia, situated on Java's north coast between the shore of the Java Sea and a small ridge of mountains. Ceded to the Dutch West India Company in 1677 by King Amangkurat I in payment of his debts, it became their headquarters and the seat of the Dutch governor of the northeast provinces. Semarang's usefulness as a port waned due to the gradual silting up of the harbor. By the 19th century, Surabaya had eclipsed Semarang as Java's premier port.

Day 5 - Surabaya, Java

Arrive: Tue 21 November 2017 at 08:00 / Depart: Tue 21 November 2017 at 14:00

Day 6 - Benoa/Bali

Arrive: Wed 22 November 2017 at 08:30 / Depart: Wed 22 November 2017 at 18:00

Day 7 - Komodo Island

Arrive: Thu 23 November 2017 at 13:00 / Depart: Thu 23 November 2017 at 19:00

Komodo, the Island of Dragons, lies 320 miles east of Bali, between the islands of Sumbawa and Flores. Of volcanic origin, Komodo measures about 60 square miles with parched hills that reach 2,410 feet. Little grows on the dry coast of this barren island; there is one small community of some 500 people clinging precariously to the shore. Some say they arrived several hundred years ago from Sumbawa, others claim they are the descendants of exiled convicts. These natives make their living primarily from fishing. Komodo Island is a national park run by the Indonesian Directorate of Nature Conservation, known as PPA. In an attempt to keep the dragons wild, the government has put a stop to feeding the animals as a show for tourists. Sightings cannot be guaranteed but park rangers usually know where to look for the dragons during a guided walk.

Day 8 - At Sea

Day 9 - At Sea

Day 10 - Darwin, Australia

Arrive: Sun 26 November 2017 at 07:00 / Depart: Sun 26 November 2017 at 17:00

Darwin is Australia's most colorful, and exotic, capital city. Surrounded on three sides by the turquoise waters of the Timor Sea, the streets are lined with tropical flowers and trees. Warm and dry in winter, hot and steamy in summer, it's a relaxed and casual place, as well as a beguiling blend of tropical frontier outpost and Outback hardiness. Thanks to its close proximity to Southeast Asia and its multicultural population it also seems more like Asia than the rest of Australia. Darwin is a city that has always had to fight for its survival.

Day 11 - At Sea

Day 12 - At Sea

Day 13 - Cooktown

Arrive: Wed 29 November 2017 at 13:30 / Depart: Wed 29 November 2017 at 19:00

Day 14 - Cairns

Arrive: Thu 30 November 2017 at 08:00 / Depart: Thu 30 November 2017 at 18:00

It wasn't that long ago that Cairns (pronounced Cans), the heart of the remote Australian area known as "The Deep North," was a sleepy little outpost in the midst of the tropics. Founded in 1876 as a port for inland gold fields, Cairns is a tribute to the first surveyors who cleared just enough scrub land to set up their tents before mapping out streets wide enough for a future city. Later, Cairns was a railhead from which produce grown on the fertile Atherton Tableland and sugar cane from the coastal plains was transported to other parts of the country.

Day 15 - Townsville

Arrive: Fri 01 December 2017 at 07:00 / Depart: Fri 01 December 2017 at 13:00

Founded in 1864, Townsville is one of the focal points of North Queensland. A pleasant climate and relaxed lifestyle rank among the town's great attractions. Townsville is the port for the agricultural and mining production of the vast inland region of North Queensland as well as the starting point of the main road to the Northern Territory.

Day 16 - At Sea

Day 17 - Brisbane

Arrive: Sun 03 December 2017 at 08:00 / Depart: Sun 03 December 2017 at 18:00

With more than a million people, Brisbane is Australia's third largest city and the capital of Queensland. It is the ideal base for exploration of the southern part of the state. Brisbane spreads along both banks of the Brisbane River, 20 miles upstream from the river's outlet into Moreton Bay. Bustling river traffic brings ferries, tugboats, freighters, ocean liners and pleasure craft to Brisbane's busy port.

Day 18 - At Sea

Day 19 - Sydney

Arrive: Tue 05 December 2017 at 08:00 / Depart: Tue 05 December 2017

Sydney is the heart of New South Wales and the state's capital. A bustling centre for industry and business and a major world port, it boasts 3.5 million inhabitants. Spreading over some 670 square miles (1,735 square km), the city seems to stretch as far as the eye can see to the west, north and south. Where Sydney's metropolitan area ends, the wide-open bush of New South Wales begins. Sydney is located roughly the same distance from the equator as San Diego, California, and enjoys an equally superb sunny climate. Its beautiful harbour is studded with bays and inlets and crowned by the billowing sails of the incomparable Opera House.
