On board, passengers will find all the luxuries of modern cruising with an ambience which evokes the great ocean liners of the past. The ship underwent a significant refurbishment in 2015 with new cabins added to provide more choice for passengers.

Cunard Queen Victoria Food & Drink

The Britannia Restaurant, named after the classic Cunard liner, is the main dining room on board ship and provides two seating for evening dining but offers less formal open dining for breakfast and lunch. Guests can enjoy fine ocean views as they savour the wealth of cuisine on offer on the fine dining menu.

There are a number of alternative dining venues on board including the intimate and sophisticated Princess Grill, the relaxed Verandah Restaurant which specialises in French cuisine, and the casual Lido Restaurant which offers a different dining theme on every night of the cruise from Italian to fondue. Guests residing in the Queens Grill Suites will be able to enjoy White Service dining in the renowned Queens Grill.

There are a diverse range of bars and lounges on board to suit every taste. The Golden Lion offers an authentic British pub atmosphere and serves a selection of beers and ciders alongside pub food favourites such as fish and chips. At the more sophisticated end of the scale is the Veuve Clicquot Champagne Bar serving seven Veuve Clicquot Champagnes by the glass or bottle. The Commodore Club is a sophisticated lounge echoing Cunard’s past and offers a range of cocktails created by expert mixologists. The Chart Room is located adjacent to The Britannia Restaurant, making it the perfect venue for pre-dinner drinks accompanied by a live jazz soundtrack.

Entertainment on board the Queen Victoria 

The Royal Court Theatre is the main entertainment venue on board and accommodates an audience of 830 across its three decks as they enjoy high tech musical entertainment or enriching lectures. Guests can enjoy the best seats in the house if they reserve the first private boxes at sea.

The Queens Room is an elegant space located on deck 2 and acts as an alternative entertainment venue and hosts concerts, cocktail receptions, balls and afternoon tea.

There are plenty of games of chance to be enjoyed in the non-smoking Empire Casino located near the royal court which includes a small bar for those who just wish to take in the action. For beginners, complimentary classes are available.

Cunard Queen Victoria Activities

There’s plenty on board to help guests stay active. There are traditional games found on deck including shuffleboard, quoits and even giant chess with tournaments hosted daily. The sports court is located on deck 11 and offers the opportunity to play tennis in the ocean air. For something a little different, fencing classes are hosted in the Queens Room for either the beginner or experienced fencer. There are two swimming pools located on deck 9 along with four relaxing

The Royal Spa offers a range of treatment rooms and relaxation spaces. Found within there is also a Fitness Centre featuring state of the art cardio and weights equipment.

Cunard Insights are a series of enriching guest lectures provided by famous faces from the world of academia and entertainment. Lectures have been delivered on Queen Victoria by figures as diverse as astronaut Buzz Aldrin, broadcaster Clare Balding and retired diplomat Sir Roger Carrick.

Avid readers need never be bored with the stunning two-deck library on board which stocks more than 6000 books. Passengers wishing to reflect on the literature they have enjoyed can do so if they attend the on board Book Club.
