Emerald Waterways River Cruises
There are a range of itineraries available from Emerald Waterways taking in the iconic historic sites, stunning landmarks and some of the most beautiful countryside in the world. Each river cruise lasts between eight and 17 days, and transports passengers through the heart of a country letting them explore incredible destinations just steps away from where the ship docks, while enjoying all the comforts of a luxury hotel on board ship.
Emerald Waterways made its debut in 2014 with two beautiful boutique ships, Emerald Star and Emerald Sky. In 2015, they are joined by the identical Emerald Sun and Emerald Dawn making this Europe’s newest river cruise fleet. These custom-built cruisers include a range of innovative features including a heated swimming pool with a retractable roof which can be transformed into a cinema so passengers can enjoy the space no matter the time.
There are a range of cabins to choose from, from the Emerald Stateroom to the Owner’s One Bedroom Suite, each is adorned with stylish, contemporary décor. Each room is incredibly spacious, with suites containing a comfortable lounge, walk-in wardrobe and a generous balcony.
Each ship features a restaurant named Reflections, where diners can enjoy the flavours of Europe prepared to perfection by the on board chef. For breakfast and lunch there are delightful buffets available and in the evenings guests can savour a four course dinner.
The Terrace offers an alternative dining venue experience allowing passengers to dine alfresco and enjoy the riverside views while they dine on light breakfasts or café-style lunches. Complimentary tea and coffee are available throughout the cruise and a range of fine wines and local beers are available at the Horizon Bar and Lounge.
Itineraries offer a mix of iconic landmarks alongside some lesser known cultural gems. A cruise along the Rhine and Moselle will wind through the Black Forest Region, visit the 2,000 year old town of Koblenz and visit the incredible UNESCO heritage site Cologne Cathedral.
A Danube voyage will explore the Austrian wine-growing region of Melk, the lively city of Vienna and the incredible Royal Palace of Buda in Bratislava. There are many more cruises available, each offering insightful and enriching excursions included as standard.
