MS Midnatsol is named after the midnight sun which can be found during the summer months in the Arctic Circle. This versatile ship acts as a luxury cruise liner, cargo ship and passenger ferry as it cruises up and down the Norwegian coast.
The Midnatsol is the fourth Hurtigruten vessel to bear the name and brings the Norwegian cruising experience into the 21st century. The ship is one of Hurtigruten’s Millennium Class vessels along with her sister ship the MS Trollfjord.
The interior is inspired by the sun with brightly coloured walls and a range of Norwegian modern artworks to be found around the ship. The expansive multi-level panorama lounge provides incredible views of the dramatic Norwegian landscapes including the famous fjords.
Passengers can enjoy an excursion intensive cruise as the ship stops at many ports. Local passengers will also join the ship at several points to commute to various points along the coast.
