Food & Drink on board Quantum of the Seas
There are 18 restaurants on board each offering a varied selection of tastes from around the world. With Royal Caribbean’s Dynamic Dining, guests are free to dine whenever they please and sit wherever they choose.The new booking system allows passengers to plan their culinary journeys before they depart on their cruise as well as allowing the flexibility to choose while on board ship.
There are five complimentary main dining rooms, each with a distinct concept. There are mouth-watering classics available at the American Icon Grill; Silk serves nuanced dishes from all across Asia; Chic uses classic ingredients to create contemporary classic; the Coastal Kitchen serves meals with a Mediterranean influence; while the Grange Restaurant recreates the atmosphere of a traditional cruise dining room, with unforgettable food to match.
In the speciality restaurants passengers can savour the creations of some of the finest chefs in the world. Jamie’s Italian has a menu of Italian classics created by British chef and campaigner Jamie Oliver. Award winning chef, Michael Schwartz brings fine food to a gastropub setting in Michael’s Genuine Pub. There are plenty of healthy options available at Devinly Decadence at Solarium Bistro with a menu created by weight-loss expert and media personality Devin Alexander.
Just like every Royal Caribbean ship, the Royal Theater is at the heart of the entertainment offering. On this ship guests can enjoy the Broadway smash hit Mamma Mia! featuring the songs of Swedish super-group ABBA. Alternatively guests can watch an unusual musical Sonic Odyssey, where the theatre transforms into a giant musical instrument. The show was conceived by experimental musician William Close and features the Earth Harp, Drum Cloud and Violin Dress.
Two70° is a unique performance space with 18 high resolution projectors creating a stunning view that can change at the push of a button. Here guests can enjoy innovative entertainment such as Roboshow, with six Roboscreens staging surprising performances. Starwater is a mixture of music, and dance featuring the sea, stars and human emotions brought together in a unique show.
The Music Hall is the ship’s live music venue hosting an array of bands and tribute acts throughout the cruise and guests can dance late into the night.
There’s a large screen on deck allowing passengers to enjoy films and sporting events from the comfort of their loungers or even from the pool.
Activities for Everyone
The North Star is an observation deck with a difference. This glass capsule is attached to a cantilevered arm which lifts passengers high above sea level to provide incredible 360-degree views of the ocean below.
RipCord by iFly is the perfect on board activity for adrenaline junkies. Passengers are invited to put on a jump suit and step into the wind tunnel to experience a virtual skydive. The 2.5metre diameter, transparent chamber is located on the top deck allowing guests to gaze out to sea as they fly.
SeaPlex is the largest indoor activities space at sea and features a space which can serve as a basketball court through the day and at night as a skating rink or track for bumper cars. If that’s not of a sporting thrill then the Flowrider surf simulator creates an exhilarating experience.
