Serenade of the Seas

Launched in 2003, Serenade of the Seas is the third ship in Royal Caribbean International’s Radiance-class. By today’s standards this is a mid-sized ship and can even traverse the Panama Canal, but on board guests will find a wealth of dining and entertainment options.

Food & Drink on board Serenade of the Seas

Reflections is the main restaurant on board Serenade of the Seas and guests can enjoy fine ocean views, or just admire the indoor waterfall, as they dine in this two-deck restaurant.  There’s a variety of dishes available every night and guests can pick two traditional cruise sittings, early or late, or may opt for My Time Dining and pick specific times in advance.

The Windjammer Café is the ships self-service restaurant and has a huge variety of delicious foods available day and night. At breakfast, pick from a range of fruits, cereals, pancakes, waffles and omelettes and bacon, egg. There’s plenty more available for lunch and dinner with pasta, burgers, pizza and plenty of deserts on offer.

Alternative dining venues include The Seaview Café which serves classic deli style food in the open air, Portofino with a wide selection of Italian Classics, and Chops which offers delicious steakhouse options.

There are a number of lounges on board ship, each with its own unique ambience.  The Schooner Bar can be found on Deck 6 and is a popular venue for pre-dinner drinks and also hosts live music to add to the atmosphere. Hollywood Odyssey is the venue to visit for live jazz performances and to sample some cigars. The most refined space on board ship is The Champagne Bar, which offers a variety of sparkling French wines and decadent service.  


Serenade of the Seas Entertainment

The Tropical Theatre is the ship’s primary entertainment venue and can accommodate 874 guests as they enjoy high dazzling Broadway-style musical shows. A variety of acts perform at the Safari Club including musicians, dancers and comedians.

During the evenings, the Vortex Lounge transforms into a lively nightclub where the DJ plays a variety of music from disco classics to current chart hits. Vortex truly lives up to its name as the bar actually spins around while guests order their drinks.

The Casino Royale is a popular venue  and has plenty of slot machines as well as a range of table games including blackjack and roulette.


Activities on Royal Caribbean's Serenade of the Seas

There are no shortage of enriching activities available throughout the day with seminars and educational course on a diverse range of subjects from wine tasting to photography.  

There are excellent fitness facilities on board with classes available every day in a range of disciplines from yoga to spinning. For those who like to work out solo then there’s extensive gymnasium with 44 cardio machines as well as a range of weights equipment.

Outdoor pursuits include Royal Caribbean’s trademark climbing wall, a nine-hole miniature golf course, a basketball court and a jogging track. There are even pool tables in the Bombay Billiard Room which have special stabilisers meaning the table will play true, no matter the conditions at sea.

The Spa features an indoor/outdoor pool area, a thermal suite, steam rooms, sauna and whirlpools with a range of relaxing treatments available including manicures and massages.
