Majestic Princess is the hotly anticipated sister ship to Royal Princess and Regal Princess and will be the first vessel built specifically for the Chinese cruise market.
She is currently under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy and upon her completion in Summer 2017 will be home-ported in Shanghai offering cruises to Japan and Korea.
Onboard she will offer a unique infusion of international and Chinese features and will also carry a Chinese name on the hull, 盛世公主号 (Shèng Shì Gōng Zhǔ Haò) The name was selected by Carnival plc’s China employees and interprets as “Grand World” or “Grand Spirit.”
Majestic Princess will offer many of the unique features that have made Royal and Regal Princess so popular including a dramatic multi-story atrium; the unique glass-floor walkway over-the-ocean SeaWalk; and the Chef’s Table Lumiere private dining experience.
Facilities will also include Princess’ signature Movies Under the Stars; the largest outdoor screen at sea, and the exciting Princess Water Colour Fantasy fountain and light show. She will also showcase a wide range of entertainment and Vegas-style shows featuring dancers and singers from all around the world.
Accommodations will be appealing to families and multi-generational travellers and just like her sister ships all outside staterooms will have private balconies.
Although targeting the Chinese market the ship’s cuisine will span the globe, serving authentic dishes from all over the world including Italy, France, America, Southeast Asia, Japan and China.
