This world renowned train service allows guests to enjoy a luxury glass roofed train journey combined with legendary scenery, exquisite cuisine, comfort and hospitality.

The two-day rail journey follows the historic route constructed over 100 years ago joining East and West and offers a truly unforgettable Canadian rail experience. Considered by many to be a ‘bucket-list’ trip of a lifetime this is without doubt the very best way to experience this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Rocky Mountaineer train travels both eastbound and westbound between the cosmopolitan coastal city of Vancouver (British Columbia), the resort towns of Whistler, Jasper or Banff and Calgary (Alberta).

Travelling during daylight hours only you will be sure never to miss out on any of the breathtaking scenery or iconic wildlife along the way. No matter which trip you choose, you are guaranteed to sit nose pressed to the window as your knowledgeable Host delivers live storytelling, slowing the train as you come across bald eagles or grizzly bears - perfect for those all important photographs.

Rocky Mountaineer offers a range of distinctive rail routes , each with its own unique sights, through the wild beauty of Canada’s rugged snow-capped mountains and glacier-fed lakes.

Onboard you will experience warm, friendly, Canadian hospitality with your choice of GoldLeaf Service or SilverLeaf Service – there is a package available to suite every budget.

In 2015 Rocky Mountaineer celebrated it’s 25 year anniversary, however, like many modern businesses they recognise that they owe much of this success to the unspoiled scenery, fresh air and abundant wildlife of Canada’s West. As a result of this knowledge, the company is very active in developing innovative sustainable tourism and corporate social responsibility policies and programs including local community initiatives across Western Canada.

Vancouver is one of Canada’s most ethnically diverse cities and is often referred to as a "city of neighbourhoods". The city is also famous for it’s shopping, dining, art and vibrant entertainment and is a popular filming location.

Thompson River KamloopsAbout Kamloops

The City of Kamloops is located right in the heart of British Columbia's Interior next to the joining of the North and South Thompson Rivers. The Kamloops name, originates from a Shuswap Indian word meaning “meeting place” or “meeting of the waters”. The town is also surrounded by Canada’s only semi-arid desert, Okanagan desert.
Kamloops is also one of Canada's most diverse golf destinations with a choice of 13 courses on offer as well as a range of actitivites from Mountain Biking and Horse Riding to Skydiving or Whitewater Rafting.

The peaks of Mount Rundle and Mount Cascade dominate the skyline and the surrounding countryside is home to all sorts of iconic wildlife such as elk and grizzly bears.

Lake LouiseAbout Lake Louise

Lake Louise is one of Canada's best-loved attractions and is by far the most photographed location in the Canadian Rockies. The lake itself is a sparkling turquoise blue which rests at the foot of Victoria Glacier capped by snow and ice all year-round.

Lake Louise Village itself has a small shopping centre which includes a park visitor centre and a number of small shops including a grocery store, bakery, deli, restaurtant/bar and sporting goods store.

Jasper is a true living example of a protected mountain ecosystem. Almost nothing has changed here since it was established as a National Park in 1907 and it is now a UNESCO World Heritage site. Jasper National Park is the largest of Canada’s mountain parks where you can enjoy the peace and tranquility, wildlife and an abundance of outdoor activities.
A highlight of the area is the Jasper SkyTram; a 7 minute long cable car journey which takes visitors to the summit of The Whistlers for spectacular views of the Rockies and is one of Canada’s highest and longest aerial tramways.
