Day 1 - Palma

Arrive: Sat 16 July 2022 / Depart: Sat 16 July 2022 at 22:00

Beaches or bargains, the sea or sights. Palma has it all, together with enough sunshine and souvenirs to keep anyone happy. If you like beaches, cafes or simply lazing around in the sunshine, you'll love Palma, together with the nearby resorts of Palma Nova and Magaluf. Before you relax, though, make sure you visit Palma City itself to see the Moorish palace, the designer stores and the quaint shops and cobbled streets of the old city, behind the Gothic Cathedral. And for souvenirs, make a bee-line for Inca, the largest street market on the island which opens every Thursday.

Day 2 - At Sea

Day 3 - Savona

Arrive: Mon 18 July 2022 at 08:00 / Depart: Mon 18 July 2022 at 17:00

Savona’s located on the shores of the Ligurian Sea, at the very top of Italy’s boot. Yachts and cruise liners bob in the narrow harbour, which juggles traditional architecture with modern waterside apartments. The city itself boasts a bumper crop of historic landmarks, from the 16th-century Priamar Fortress to the stunning Sistine Chapel – a frescoed mausoleum with a famous namesake in Vatican City. Its biggest claim-to-fame, though, is that it was once home to explorer Christopher Columbus. Do your own exploring beyond the city limits, and you can drive to big-hitters like Genoa and Turin in an hour or two, respectively.

Day 4 - Olbia/Sardinia

Arrive: Tue 19 July 2022 at 09:00 / Depart: Tue 19 July 2022 at 17:00

Often called the Gateway to the Emerald Coast, the NorthEastern port of Olbia is tucked into a bay in the Tyrrhenian Sea and is one of Europe's most fashionable resort areas.

Day 5 - Calvi

Arrive: Wed 20 July 2022 at 08:00 / Depart: Wed 20 July 2022 at 18:00

There’s no better way to arrive in Calvi than by cruise ship. As you pull into the iconic harbour, you’ll be greeted by its towering citadel. Beneath the soaring peaks of the Monte Cinto, this 15th-century outpost keeps watch over the whole town. Look beyond it, and you’ll discover a stylish holiday playground that’s a magnet for the yacht-owning super-rich. Cue designer boutiques, trendy seafood restaurants, and a four-mile stretch of glistening white sand.......

Day 6 - Côte d'Azur

Arrive: Thu 21 July 2022 at 09:00 / Depart: Thu 21 July 2022 at 18:00

Day 7 - Tarragona

Arrive: Fri 22 July 2022 at 11:00 / Depart: Fri 22 July 2022 at 19:00

Steeped in historical interest and home to one of Europe's largest amusement parks, the charming Catalonian port of Tarragona really does have something for everyone. Developed by Julius Caesar and favoured by archaeologists for its wealth of Roman artefacts, charismatic Tarragona perches on a rocky hill overlooking the Mediterranean. On the hill's southern slopes, the old town contains many sites of historical interest. Quiet pedestrian streets make browsing in the many antique shops and grottos a real pleasure, while to the east you can stroll along the beautiful terraced avenue of Paseo de les Palmeres. Closer to port you can ramble along a pathway, taking in the ancient city walls and cypress-lined gardens. If you want to get off the beaten track, head to nearby Montserrat (pictured above) for stunning views of the Catalan countryside.

Day 8 - Palma

Arrive: Sat 23 July 2022 / Depart: Sat 23 July 2022 at 22:00

Day 9 - At Sea

Day 10 - Palermo

Arrive: Mon 25 July 2022 at 08:00 / Depart: Mon 25 July 2022 at 16:00

The chequered history of the capital of Sicily is the key to its beauty, its fascinating sights and its endless charm. Palermo offers every visitor something to see. From the Quattro Canti, the intersection of the original four streets of the city, to the beautiful Greek Orthodox Martorana Church with its Arab/Norman bell tower and Byzantine mosaics, it has many stories to tell. Add theatres, lush gardens and glorious views and this is the place to relax as well as explore. And if you can, visit Monreale. High in the hills with a wonderful panoramic view over the Gulf of Palermo, its cathedral reveals exquisite mosaics depicting stories from the bible.

Day 11 - Naples

Arrive: Tue 26 July 2022 at 07:00 / Depart: Tue 26 July 2022 at 19:00

This is the most spectacular natural setting in Italy. With its beautiful bay overlooked by Mount Vesuvius, a sunny climate and lots to see, Naples is unmissable. A stroll through the narrow streets and hustle and bustle of the local markets that sell literally everything is an experience in itself in Naples. That's before you discover the memorable sights like the majolica-tiled cloister of the Church of Santa Chiara, the local craftsmen of San Gregorio Armeno who make the famous Neapolitan crèche figures, or the Galleria Umberto where designer shops sit amidst glorious architecture. Don't forget to take the chairlift up to Mount Vesuvius itself or the tour to Pompeii and the ancient ruins of Herculaneum. And why not take the short boat ride to the picturesque and exclusive island of Capri?

Day 12 - Piombino

Arrive: Wed 27 July 2022 at 07:00 / Depart: Wed 27 July 2022 at 19:00

Piombino is the gateway to the Tuscan cities of Siena and Pisa. Hilly Siena is packed with Gothic architecture, Medieval monuments and hundreds of restaurants. Pisa, meanwhile, is home to the legendary leaning tower.

Day 13 - Nice (Villefranche)

Arrive: Thu 28 July 2022 at 08:00 / Depart: Thu 28 July 2022 at 17:00

Think of the French Riviera and what springs to mind? Expensive yachts? Wide, palm-fringed boulevards? Glittering turquoise seas? Experience the glamour and glitz of France’s most famous stretch of coast. Imagine you’re Lewis Hamilton as you drive along the Grand Prix circuit in Monte Carlo. After you’ve negotiated the hairpin bends, you’ll find it hard to believe the fastest lap time on this circuit is just over 13 seconds. Trace your way along the French Riviera. Take in elegant Nice, the hilltop village of St Paul and Grasse, which is the world capital for perfume and flowers.

Day 14 - Palamos

Arrive: Fri 29 July 2022 at 09:00 / Depart: Fri 29 July 2022 at 18:00

Hundreds of years old, yet now a thriving and modern Spanish port, Palamos gives you a glimpse into the local culture – and the perfect opportunity to relax. On the east coast of Spain, north of Barcelona, Palamos was founded around a natural harbour in 1277. The legacy of fishing continues today and the day's catch is still auctioned on the busy quayside in the late afternoon, giving you the chance to see traditional fishing the Spanish way. That's if you can spare the time from relaxing on the superb beach or taking a tour to Figueres, the famous city where Dali was born and lived until his death in 1989.

Day 15 - Palma

Arrive: Sat 30 July 2022 / Depart: Sat 30 July 2022

Beaches or bargains, the sea or sights. Palma has it all, together with enough sunshine and souvenirs to keep anyone happy. If you like beaches, cafes or simply lazing around in the sunshine, you'll love Palma, together with the nearby resorts of Palma Nova and Magaluf. Before you relax, though, make sure you visit Palma City itself to see the Moorish palace, the designer stores and the quaint shops and cobbled streets of the old city, behind the Gothic Cathedral.
