Day 1 - Dubrovnik

Arrive: Thu 11 August 2022 / Depart: Thu 11 August 2022 at 20:00

Wake up in the most beautiful city on the Croatian coast. Lively yet full of history, this World Heritage Site is full of fasination but very easy to get around Woalking around Dubrovnik is like stepping back into the past. Its ancient city walls surround countless buildings that have been perfectly perserved and are easy to find, thanks to the grid-like street system. Look out in particular for the Onofrio Fountain and the nearby Franciscan Monastery with the third oldest pharmacy in Europe. And don't miss the old medieval Sponza Palance, St Blaises Church and the Cathedral.

Day 2 - At Sea

Day 3 - Rijeka

Arrive: Sat 13 August 2022 at 08:00 / Depart: Sat 13 August 2022 at 18:00

Although a busy working port, Rijeka has plenty of old world charm squirrelled away. Peach and lemon-coloured buildings march along the pedestrian streets, topped by terracotta roofs and carved arches. Rijeka also serves as a gateway to the islands filling the Kvarner Gulf. They’re a rural, laid-back bunch punctured with coves and beaches.

Day 4 - Venice (Ravenna)

Arrive: Sun 14 August 2022 at 08:00 / Depart: Sun 14 August 2022 at 18:00

Ravenna is a treasure-trove of Byzantine architecture and mosaics, rivalled perhaps only by Istanbul, that is waiting to be discovered and enjoyed. Beautiful mosaics, frescoes in the Giotto style, an elegant city centre peppered with refined restaurants, bars and pavement cafes - it could only be Ravenna.

Day 5 - Ancona, Italy

Arrive: Mon 15 August 2022 at 08:00 / Depart: Mon 15 August 2022

As you drift into Ancona’s bustling harbour, you’ll have front-row views of the town’s historic landmarks. The waterfront’s backed by crumbling defensive fortifications, and if you scan the horizon, you’ll see an ancient domed cathedral perched on the hill. In the terracotta-topped town, Gothic architecture jostles for space with Roman and Greek buildings, while pavement cafés and museums are shoulder-to-shoulder with more modern additions.

Day 6 - Koper

Arrive: Tue 16 August 2022 at 07:00 / Depart: Tue 16 August 2022 at 17:00

Set along a wide horseshoe-shaped bay, Koper's a Medieval town where old and new go hand-in-hand. Lose yourself in the maze of streets, passing historical sights and browsing chic shops along the way.

Day 7 - Split

Arrive: Wed 17 August 2022 at 09:00 / Depart: Wed 17 August 2022 at 18:00

The second biggest town in Croatia is the first choice for a superb day exploring - or a day shopping in the open air markets. On the coast in the south of the country, Split is old and beautiful, welcoming and varied. While beautiful lush green forest surrounds Split itself, facing the harbour is anothersight not to be missed - the fortress palace of Diocletian, built in 305AD.

Day 8 - Dubrovnik

Arrive: Thu 18 August 2022 / Depart: Thu 18 August 2022 at 20:00

Day 9 - At Sea

Day 10 - Malta

Arrive: Sat 20 August 2022 at 09:00 / Depart: Sat 20 August 2022 at 18:00

As the ship cruises into Valletta, a breathtaking landscape of soaring steeples and church domes will rise up to greet you. Surrounded by tiny villages and a countryside brimming with flowers, Valletta is Malta's quintessential capital. Wander the steep, narrow streets laden with sublime churches, or enjoy a freshly-ground coffee at one of the many pavement cafes, whilst admiring the colourful fishing boats as they sway gently in the alluring harbour. Nearby Mdina, the old capital of Malta, is an impressive walled city finely decorated with Medieval and Baroque architecture. Known as ‘the silent city' because cars are forbidden, horse-drawn carriages trotting through the streets and the gentle chatter of Mdina's inhabitants will be the only sounds to punctuate the peaceful atmosphere.

Day 11 - Messina

Arrive: Sun 21 August 2022 at 07:00 / Depart: Sun 21 August 2022 at 17:00

Messina's pretty streets tumble down an emerald green hillside towards the translucent waters of the Mediterranean.

Day 12 - Taranto

Arrive: Mon 22 August 2022 at 09:00 / Depart: Mon 22 August 2022 at 18:00

Taranto is surrounded by a natural harbour so this city and seafood go hand in hand – it’s particularly well-known for oysters and mussels. The historical old town spreads over an island, while the new town is all about sleek and stylish palm-lined avenues. Taranto has an interesting history – it dates back to the year 706 BC when it was founded as a Greek-Spartan colony. The Museo Nazionale Archeologico holds hundreds of artefacts from their reign, including terracotta figures, glassware and jewellery.

Day 13 - Corfu

Arrive: Tue 23 August 2022 at 08:00 / Depart: Tue 23 August 2022 at 17:00

Awash with colourful flowers, Corfu is big on beauty. It’s known as the Emerald Isle, and its golden beaches, lush green landscape and colourful villages will have you constantly reaching for your camera.......

Day 14 - Kotor

Arrive: Wed 24 August 2022 at 08:00 / Depart: Wed 24 August 2022 at 18:00

For years, the travel-savvy have kept Montenegro under their sunhats. But now the cat’s creeping out of the bag – and it’s hardly surprising. A tiny republic in southeast Europe, the scenery here will have your jaw dropping to the floor the moment you arrive. Cue glittering lakes. Green mountains as far as the eye can see. And cashmere-soft sands that melt into sapphire seas. Even spy extraordinaire 007 couldn’t keep away – these magical landscapes starred in the James Bond hit ‘Casino Royale’.......
