Day 1 - Hong Kong

Arrive: Wed 27 March 2024

After you arrive at Hong Kong's airport on Lantau Island, see the enormous Tian Tan Buddha, measuring 112 feet tall and weighing over 200 tons. Then, take a harbor cruise to get your bearings and see Hong Kong's modern architecture. Later, slurp noodles at the Temple Street Night Market. If you have an extra day, head out to Dragon's Back portion of the Hong Kong Trail for some scenic hiking among mist-covered peaks. The Peak Tram takes you up to Victoria Peak, Hong Kong's 1,800-foot-high mountain. Less expensive buses will get you there, too. Once you're up top, admire the views over the city from the hiking trails. The Peak also offers an escape from the subtropical climate below — the air here is cooler and less humid. Stanley Harbour, on the other side of Hong Kong Island, will give you a taste of a different Hong Kong. It's a fishing village on Repulse Bay with a lovely seaside walk (snap some photos of the fishing boats) as well as a famous street market. There's lots of British history, a boardwalk and even a few beaches. You can take the bus from Central for a scenic trip, though the express bus is faster.

Day 4 - Taipei

Arrive: Sat 30 March 2024 at 08:00 / Depart: Sat 30 March 2024 at 21:00

Surrounded by mountains on three sides, the harbor city of Keelung is the gateway to Taipei. After your ship arrives, take the 25-minute drive into Taiwan's capital, where art, nature and architecture both traditional and modern meet. Cruise to Taipei and walk the narrow corridors of Jiu Fen Old Street, stopping to take tea while you soak in the mountain and ocean scenery. Then, see the city's modern side by climbing Taipei 101, a 449-meter-tall skyscraper with a sightseeing deck for panoramic views. Or spend your time absorbing the natural splendor: Hike Mount Keelung to its now-extinct volcanic summit, then see the Golden Waterfall below before you head to the Yin Yang Sea for some beach time.

Day 5 - Ishigaki Island

Arrive: Sun 31 March 2024 at 09:00 / Depart: Sun 31 March 2024 at 18:00

The most cosmopolitan island in the Yaeyama Island Group of Okinawa, Ishigaki's subtropical climate means it's beach weather all year round here — the island is rimmed with powdery white beaches and sky-blue waters teeming with coral reefs. Cruise to Ishigaki and take the one-hour hike up Okinawa's highest peak, Mt. Otomo, and marvel at the ocean views dotted with neighboring islands. Walk around Ishigaki's small town: Sample freshly caught fish at the Public Market, explore the 19th-century Miyara Dounchi House and Gardens, or channel inner calm at nearby Torinji Zen Temple. Looking for more thrill factor? Head to the mangroves of Nagura Anparu Wetland for a kayaking adventure.

Day 6 - Okinawa (Nagagusuku), Japan

Arrive: Mon 01 April 2024 at 08:30 / Depart: Mon 01 April 2024 at 19:30

A small series of sub-tropical islands just off Japan's mainland, Okinawa is home to untouched beaches perfect for a picnic or a splash in the blue water, as well as old castles harkening back to ages past. From Nakagusuku, the riches of the region's main island, Okinawa Honto, are right at your fingertips. Cruise to Okinawa and check out the Nakagusuku Castle ruins, where you can see austere stone courtyards dating back to the 14th century. Experience the rough cliffs and pristine blue waters of Cape Manzamo to the north, or head to Naha and see Shuri Castle, a reconstruction of the Ryuku Kingdom's most important palace from the 1400s to the 1800s.

Day 7 - Cruising

Day 8 - Busan, South Korea

Arrive: Wed 03 April 2024 at 08:00 / Depart: Wed 03 April 2024 at 20:00

When you first set eyes on the cityscape of Busan, you'll see soaring skyscrapers set in the green mountainside. Korea's second-largest city, Busan is a hub of international allure and local flare. An efficient bus and train system lets you bounce throughout the city — head to Gamcheon Culture Village, a hillside arts district where you'll find a kaleidoscopic collection of multicolored houses adorned with murals and graffiti. Then, climb the stairs to Haedong Yonggung Temple, set against the dramatic rocks and windswept waters of the coastline. Cruise to Busan and end your day with a leisurely stroll along Haeundae Beach, set between modern skyscrapers and wide-open views of the ocean and mountains.

Day 9 - Jeju

Arrive: Thu 04 April 2024 at 08:00 / Depart: Thu 04 April 2024 at 15:00

Jeju is South Korea's most famous island getaway, and for good reason. Dubbed "The Hawaii of Korea," it's home to some of the Korean Peninsula's most beautiful natural sites. Mount Hallasan dominates the skyline with its dark green foliage — hike up this dormant volcano, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site, and get a look at the gorgeous crater lake that lies near the summit. Or head to Cheonjeyeon Waterfall, nicknamed the Pond of God: See the falls from the Seonimgyo arch bridge that passes over them, and walk among the park's rock formations and lush greenery. Cruise to Jeju Island, South Korea to go surfing on secluded, cliff-surrounded Sungmung Beach. Or cool off from the humid climate by exploring Manjanggul Cave, an underground lava tunnel.

Day 10 - Seoul (Incheon)

Arrive: Fri 05 April 2024 at 09:00 / Depart: Fri 05 April 2024 at 20:00

When you arrive at the port of Incheon city, surrounded by historic hot springs and vast rice fields, a quick train ride will bring you to the bustling capital of Korea – Seoul, an adrenaline-pumping mix of technological advancement and cultural charm. Cruise to Seoul, Korea and take the cable car up to N Seoul Tower at the top of Namsan Mountain for expansive views of the city. Visit elaborate Gyeongbukgung Palace – on its enormous grounds, you can cross one of three stone bridges to an artificial island in the centre of the picturesque lake. Then, zen out at Jogyesa Korean Buddhist Temple with its huge golden Buddha statues, and stroll the grounds planted with trees that are over 500 years old.
