The MS Maasdam is the fifth re-incarnation of the name which comes from the river Maas in Holland. The aim of the ship is to lower the amount of guests who can travel but to provide each guest with a more personalised service thanks to the additional space.

The MS Nieuw Amsterdam is a ship dedicated to the history of New York City. The city itself was known as Nieuw Amsterdam before New York and the ships aim is to pass this message across with a mix of art and interior design. Part of the Vista Class the MS Oosterdam was christened by HRH Princess Margriet of the Netherlands in 2003. The Oosterdam is a very polished ship with extensive use of crystal and marble to give it a premium feel. The ship also features a large globe in the central atrium which has to be seen to be believed. The MS Prinsendam is one of the smallest ships in the Holland America fleet holding just 835 passengers. The size of the ship gives cruisers a sense of 'coziness' that can't be felt on the other larger ships. It also gives the ship a yacht like feel. The majority of staterooms on board contain verandahs giving guests a majestic view of the oceans.
The MS Prinsendam features a 3 storey atrium which is dominated by a fibre optical lit sculpture designed especially for the ship. Guests can enjoy a number of facilities in and around the ship as with all ships in the Holland America fleet.

The MS Rotterdam benefited from a Signature of Excellence upgrade in late 2009 which made the ship one of the most glamorous in the Holland America fleet. One of the key installations in the Signature of Excellence upgrade was the introduction of Lanai Staterooms. These rooms are packed full of modern features including sliding glass doors that lead onto the walk of the lower Promenade Deck.
The MS Ryndam is another one of the Holland America ships that has been rejuvenated with the Signature of Excellence upgrade. The ship is packed full of features for all guests to enjoy including the Microsoft Digital Workshop where guests can catalogue their holiday via a number of technical devices with help from the ship's Microsoft team.

The MS Statendam is very similar to the MS Ryndam with its historical Dutch theme throughout however the ship is 1 year older than the Ryndam. The ship has also been treated to the Signature of Excellence improvement with improvements in public spacing, lounges and entertainment venues.
