Magellan set off on her maiden voyage for Cruise & Maritime in the of Spring 2015 and is based out of the port of Tilbury in London.
In Summer Magellan will sail primarily in Northern Europe with cruises visiting Scandinavia, the British Isles and Russia with some voyages to the Canary Islands. In the Winter the ship will visit the warm weather destinations of the West Indies, the Canaries and the Amazon.
Food & Drink
The Waldorf and Kensington restaurants are the ship’s main dining rooms while there’s also a bistro for a more informal dining experience.
There are three lounge bars on board: the bright and modern Scott's bar; the refined and comfortable Churchill’s; and the spacious and sophisticated Sinatra’s. For drinks out by the pool, there’s a great selection on offer at Neptune’s Observation Bar.
The Main Show Lounge has two levels and plays host to big productions shows accompanied by the ship’s love orchestra. There are also a range of specially selected cabaret acts and guest entertainers throughout the cruise.
For guests who wish to dance late into the nights, they can enjoy the music provided by the DJ in Scott’s Nightclub. For some quieter musical entertainment, live performers can be found in the bars and lounges to accompany good conversation and after dinner drinks.
There are two swimming pools found on the main deck along with plenty of loungers and a relaxing Jacuzzi. For some further relaxing there are a range of treatments available in the Jade Wellness Centre.
Those looking for some enrichment can attend the spacious and well-stocked library and settle down with a good book or perhaps meet with some friends and play cards or a board game.
