Food & Drink

The main dining room features extravagant decoration including gold columns, a grand dome on the ceiling and magnificent staircase covering the three levels, acting as a feast for the senses before diners sit down to enjoy the diverse menu on offer. Each of the three floors is named after a legendary explorer, Columbus, Da Gama and Magellan with the walls decorated to reflect their journeys.  Diners can choose a fixed dining time or may opt for the more flexible option of My Time Dining.

The Windjammer Café is the ship’s self-service restaurant and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Guests can enjoy extensive buffet breakfasts with a variety of food at a range of stations with omelettes, cereals, fruit and yoghurt available. At lunch, there are salads, pastas and snacks available; while dinner offers buffet equivalents of the meals in the main dining room.

This expansive ship also features a number of alternative complimentary dining options. The Café Promenade serves a continental breakfast in the morning and pizza, snacks and coffee throughout the day. Jade Sushi and Asian Fusion offer innovative flavours from the East along with popular Asian dishes.

Specialist restaurants on board include Portofino, which offers premium Italian favourites, and Johnny Rockets which serves classic America fast food dishes with burgers, hot dogs and milkshakes on the menu.

There are a number of lounges on board each offering a unique atmosphere. The Aquarium Bar features huge aquariums to create a mellow atmosphere. The Champagne Bar offers a refined ambience as guests raise a glass to their cruise holiday. There is always some sport on show as well as a great range of beers in the Weekend Warrior Bar.  For those who want to stay up later, then The Chamber is the ship’s nightclub, designed around the theme of a castle.

The main entertainment venue is the Palace Showlounge which spans five decks from the orchestra pit to the top deck. Here guests can enjoy great views of musical revue shows and cabaret acts. Alternative venues include the Maharaja’s Lounge which offers live music and cabaret and Studio B where guests can enjoy falling snow and spectacular ice skating shows.

The casino features a range of tables where visitors can play games including poker, blackjack, roulette and craps. There are also 294 slot machines with a range of prizes available.

Throughout the day there are plenty of activities on offer from the entertainment team with games by the pool, bingo and quizzes in the lounges as well as enrichment activities such as arts and crafts.

There are two pools in the main pool area, accompanied by two relaxing whirlpools. For a more secluded swim, then there is a covered pool in the adults-only Solarium area.

There’s plenty to do for those who enjoy physical activity with a full sized basketball court in the sports deck, a rock climbing wall, mini golf, a skating rink and a fitness centre with a full range of cardio and weights equipment as well as exercise classes on offer.
