The 3 Ambassador cruise ships are small to mid-sized. Ambience carries around 1,400 guests, Ambition up to 1,200 and Renaissance around 1,100.

Accommodation with Ambassador
Across the fleet, accommodation broadly falls into Interior, Oceanview, Balcony and Suite categories, although grades and layouts differ by ship. Ambience and Ambition cabins include tea and coffee-making facilities, air conditioning, an en-suite bathroom, a television and a safe, while Renaissance’s facilities vary by cabin grade.
Selected single cabins are available within the fleet. Ambassador also hosts solo social gatherings on cruises of 6 nights or more.
Be sure to ask your Cruise Expert about the deck plan before booking. Some cabins have an obstructed or limited view, accessible cabin numbers vary between ships, and suite features depend on the grade chosen.

Ambassador Dining and Drinks
Full-board dining is included on every Ambassador cruise, covering breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. Dinner in the main restaurant normally runs across two sittings, which can be requested after booking, while breakfast and lunch are generally open seating.
Each ship combines main dining with a casual buffet. Ambience has the Buckingham Restaurant and Borough Market; Ambition has the Buckingham and Holyrood restaurants alongside its own Borough Market; Renaissance’s principal venues include the two-level Grand Restaurant Vatel and Belle Vue buffet.
Speciality restaurants carry an additional charge. Saffron features on Ambience and Ambition; Ambience also has Sea & Grass, while Ambition has the Mediterranean-style Lupino’s. Renaissance’s choices include Lotus, Kreole by Mondi, Terre & Mer and a Chef’s Table. Exact venues and menus should be checked for the chosen sailing.
Bars and lounges are an important part of the evening. Examples include Raffles Bar and The Purple Turtle Pub on Ambience, the Clifton Lounge and The Cavern on Ambition, and the Ocean Bar and Massalia Lounge on Renaissance.

Facilities differ between ships. Ambition has a wellness centre, gym, pool and hot tubs; Renaissance has a pool beneath a retractable roof, whirlpools, a spa and gym; Ambience offers an outdoor pool, hot tubs, fitness centre and Green Sea Spa.
Shops, onboard photography and WiFi are also available, with purchases and internet packages charged separately.

Regional UK departures are useful for guests who prefer not to fly, with sailings from Tilbury, Belfast, Dundee and Liverpool... amongst others. Renaissance broadens the programme with Ambassador Caribbean fly-cruises, while Ambience and Ambition operate no-fly sailings from Britain.

Ambassador describes its service style as friendly and unpretentious. The onboard routine is structured around table-service dining, staffed bars and lounges, organised activities and a published daily programme. Prices on board are quoted in £ sterling, with purchases charged to a personalised cruise card.
Dress during the day is relaxed. In the evening, the programme may suggest casual, smart or formal clothing, with Ambassador nights offering an opportunity to dress up. Formalwear is not expected throughout the cruise.
