I’ve cruised around the Maldives in November and Mauritius in June. Both times the weather was perfect for snorkelling with lovely calm seas and just a nice breeze. There were loads of fish to get up and close with off our little tour boat and when relaxing on the beach after the sun was just right and not too humid. Here you can see the view from a helicopter ride I took over Mauritius just how gorgeous the sea is. Goggles and snorkels are a must if you’re not on a tour that provides them (even if just for a quick dip!) and make sure you pack loads of suncream as there isn’t always much shade if you’re doing something active - even in the water!
