A 3 night stay in Lake Garda sets the scene, surrounded by stunning mountain views and charming lakeside villages, before a scenic train journey leads to Trieste for a 2 night stay. Here, you’ll have time to explore the city’s grand squares and perhaps take an excursion to Venice, which is just a short train ride away. The cruise then begins its journey through the Adriatic and Mediterranean, visiting the historic coastal city of Zadar and the medieval streets of Dubrovnik in Croatia. Sailing onward, the itinerary continues to Valletta in Malta, followed by a visit to the historic city of Naples in Italy, before concluding back in Rome.
