Over the years, I’ve been lucky enough to visit some incredible places, including Thailand, Bali, Dubai, Goa, Mauritius and Lisbon, to name just a few.
My favourite long-haul destination is Mauritius, with its beautiful sandy beaches, rainforest, vibrant cities, and rich history and culture. It’s definitely one to add to your bucket list, especially as part of a cruise and stay holiday.
My favourite city has to be Lisbon. The food is amazing – especially the Pasteis de Nata de Bacalhau. It’s full of history and culture, set along the River Tagus, and easy to explore on foot. The Old Town is hillier, where the trams come in handy, and the views from the castle are breathtaking. Cascais and Estoril are also just a short train ride away.
My bucket list is always growing – I’d love to explore more of the Far East and Central America.
I’ve been fortunate to experience some incredible ships, Virgin Voyages Scarlet Lady and Norwegian Epic, but my favourite so far is Sun Princess.
I was lucky enough to sail on her inaugural voyage, so everything was brand new. I loved the food, service and entertainment, but the highlight was my beautiful cabin with a private balcony and one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in.
