QM2 is a beautiful transatlantic ocean liner. She is the biggest ship that I have ever been on. I was automatically drawn to her sheer beauty. She is immaculate in every sense of the word.
Within a few minutes of being on board – it all made sense! I now know why so many people want to experience a transatlantic voyage on board the QM2.
QM2’s facilities include fifteen restaurants and bars, five pools, a casino , a grand ballroom, theatres and very first planetarium at sea.
For all the doggie lovers wishing to cruise, there is a kennel on board to spoil your pooch at sea.
I loved the British feel to the ship, there was a little bit of American décor too. I really liked the huge walk-around promenade deck, three time around is 1.1 miles. Great way to pass a day on a transatlantic crossing or if you are after some relaxation then you can pull up a blanket and read. All along the promenade deck you can find beautiful teak steamer chairs.
We were lucky to experience a 4 course lunch in the Britannia Restaurant. The whole meal was simply stunning. This dining room had a wonderful luxurious feel. The décor was magnificent and the attention to detail was 10/10. This dining room is almost three decks high and even offers the Titanic look with the sweeping staircases. The food was beautifully presented and I enjoyed every bite!
QM2 has fantastic facilities for fitness fans. I was most impressed with the thalassotherapy pool and thermal suite. The price list matched any spa that you would find in a five star hotel.
This little ship visit was a wonderful taster. I would love to see another Cunard ship and I would most definitely book a QM2 cruise.
Sadly I didn't get to see any cabins as the ship was full.
