Day 1 - Hanoi

Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, is known for its centuries-old architecture and a rich culture with Southeast Asian, Chinese and French influences. At its heart is the chaotic Old Quarter, where the narrow streets are roughly arranged by trade. There are many little temples, including Bach Ma, honoring a legendary horse, plus ??ng Xuân Market, selling household goods and street food.

Junk boat tours and sea kayak expeditions take visitors past islands named for their shapes, including Stone Dog and Teapot islets. Oudong is a town in Cambodia, at the base of Phnom Udong Mountain, northwest of Phnom Penh. It was the site of the royal capital from the 17th to the 19th centuries. The mountain’s 2 mounds are connected by a ridge and dotted with stupas and shrines dedicated to former kings. Chedi Mouk Pruhm is the burial site of King Monivong. The ruins of Arthross Temple house a large golden Buddha.
