Alotau is the Capital of Papua New Guinea's Milne Bay Province. It is rich in history and culture as well as being rewarded with natural beauty. Milne Bay and Alotau are commonly known as being the site for the Battle of Milne Bay where Japanese forces suffered their first defeat in World War 2 at the hands of Australian and American soldiers based there.

Kiriwina is the largest island located in the Trobriand Islands. Kiriwina Island is also apart of the Milne Bay Province in Papua New Guinea. There are roughly 12,000 people living in Kiriwina, making it the most populated island in the Trobriand Islands.

Rabaul is located in the East New Britain province, in Papua New Guinea. In 1994 Mt Tavurvur, on the southeast of the island erupted over Rabaul and the Simpson Harbour. Much of this beautiful city was buried in ash.
