At the 17th-century Rubens House, period rooms display works by the Flemish Baroque painter Peter Paul Rubens.

Cochem is the seat of and the biggest town in the Cochem-Zell district in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. Planken shopping street leads southeast to the Romanesque Water Tower, in the art nouveau gardens of Friedrichsplatz.
