Point Pelee National Park is a national park in Essex County in southwestern Ontario, Canada where it extends into Lake Erie. The word pelée is French for 'bald'. Point Pelee consists of a peninsula of land, mainly of marsh and woodland habitats, that tapers to a sharp point as it extends into Lake Erie.

Alpena is the only city and county seat of Alpena County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 10,483 at the 2010 census. The Richard and Jane Manoogian Mackinac Art Museum has local works, including Native American art, maps and 19th-century photos

Nearby is the Milwaukee Public Museum, with its large-scale European Village and a recreation of old Milwaukee.
