Douro River Cruises

The River Douro flows from Porto in Portugal to Vega de Terron on the Spanish Portuguese border. The scenery is the real star on the Douro, with steep vineyards and a lush countryside home to many monasteries, castles and baroque mansions. Of course, it is the perfect place to experience Portugal’s famous Tawny Port Wines and local delicacies and a stop at Regua is a must, it’s the main town where all wine produced passes on its way to Porto for export. And, Barca D’Alva is not to be missed, you can enjoy a full day excursion to the Spanish city of Salamanca, a wonderful UNESCO World Heritage Site.
