I have worked in travel for my entire career, spanning more than 33 years and more than 18 years ago, I moved into the cruise market… it was the best move I ever made! The cruise industry has grown and evolved enormously during that time, and it truly is one of the best ways to explore the world. I take great pride in researching and booking the ideal holiday for my customers, offering personal recommendations to help create the perfect trip. Not everyone has the same opportunities or knowledge when it comes to travel, so being able to guide people and help them plan something special is incredibly rewarding.
Over the past 30 years, the cruise and travel industry has evolved enormously. I’m proud to say I’ve watched it grow and thrive, with more cruise lines, bigger ships, new innovative onboard experiences, and an ever-growing choice of restaurants. There is now so much choice on board that there really is something for everyone.
I have also enjoyed river cruising as well as the more traditional ocean cruising. I highly recommend trying both, as they are completely different and equally wonderful experiences.

Destinations
Over the years, I’ve been fortunate enough to experience the incredible benefits of travel myself, visiting many amazing destinations and even living in Canada for 9 years when I was younger. Canada is very close to my heart, so talking about holidays there really does feel like promoting a second home.
One of my favourite experiences was taking the Rocky Mountaineer GoldLeaf train from Banff to Kamloops and on to Vancouver. Staying at the iconic Chateau Lake Louise was a real highlight, with breathtaking views over the lake and surrounding mountains. Banff itself was probably my favourite place – it has a fantastic atmosphere, great restaurants and plenty to see and do. A trip on the Banff Gondola even turned into a magical moment when it started snowing halfway up, like being inside a snow globe.
Last year was a particularly special one for travel. I celebrated a milestone birthday with a cruise visiting Los Angeles and San Francisco, along with a stay in Las Vegas – flying business class for the occasion. I also travelled to Singapore for the incredible Grand Prix before relaxing in Thailand afterwards, which was truly a bucket-list experience
Another unforgettable trip was to India, where I explored the Golden Triangle of Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur. Seeing the Taj Mahal at sunrise was a moment I’ll never forget, and the history, culture and warmth of the people made it an incredible experience I would highly recommend.
Cruise Lines & Ships
My top highlight last year was boarding the absolutely stunning Regent Seven Seas Grandeur — all I can say is wow, wow, wow. It truly is fully all-inclusive luxury at sea. The food, service and crew were exceptional, and nothing was ever too much trouble.
Over the years, I’ve been lucky enough to sail on many different cruise lines and ships, both ocean and river. From the incredible ships with Royal Caribbean – known for being the biggest and boldest at sea – to the newer Sphere Class ships with Princess Cruises, there is so much choice and innovation within cruising.
River cruising is just as special, with wonderful experiences on lines such as Scenic and Viking. My next adventures include a trip to Malaysia and back to Singapore, which I loved the first time, followed by a French river cruise in March with Viking. I don’t just sell cruises for my customers – I book and experience them myself too, which means I’m always discovering new destinations and experiences that I love sharing with others.
