I've had the most fun decade in travel

I started working in travel almost 9 years ago, and it was there that my curiosity for cruising really peaked. I began my training, and now cruising is my true passion! From the very first time I stepped onto a cruise ship, I was hooked – there’s nothing better than being on the ocean and waking up in a new destination each day. The beautiful sunrises and sunsets, the sailing, and the ocean breeze are unforgettable. Whether I’m on deck in the sunshine or relaxing on a sea day, it’s perfect. The food and service on a cruise surpass any hotel I’ve experienced, and so much is included. With endless activities and sights to see, you truly can never get bored.

I love talking about cruises and hearing travel stories. I enjoy learning about destinations and cruise lines, and hearing about them from our guests is always a highlight. I’m fortunate to travel often for work, which gives me the chance to experience new ships and destinations first-hand. I also love helping people and have built a wonderful customer base, many of whom have become more like friends.

Destinations

I love Florida for its weather and American culture, and Miami and Orlando make a great base for a Caribbean cruise. The Caribbean is perfect for a winter getaway with beautiful beaches and sunshine – I try to go every year!

The Mediterranean is ideal for exploring cities and enjoying short flights between destinations, while the fjords offer absolutely incredible scenery that everyone should experience at least once.

South Africa is a safari bucket-list destination I’ll never forget, and transatlantic cruises are some of my favourites, with just one long-haul flight and plenty of sea days to relax and explore the ship.

Cruise Lines & Ships

Some of my favourite cruise lines include Holland America, with ships like Nieuw Statendam, Rotterdam, and Nieuw Amsterdam – traditional and relaxing, with excellent service and food, lots of live music, and medium-sized ships.

I love Virgin for cruising with friends; they’re fun, with wonderful service and amazing food. Celebrity is fantastic for great food and destination-focused itineraries, while MSC offers excellent family-friendly ships with plenty to do and great value for money.

Princess is welcoming and also destination-focused, and Royal Caribbean provides family-oriented ships with excellent service and lots of activities. Cunard is traditional and iconic, while P&O has great ships and plenty to enjoy onboard. I also love Fred Olsen for its traditional charm, intimacy, and excellent service, and Oceania for incredible food, service, and small-ship experiences.
